Provo and Orem sidewalk snow rules

Provo

Provo City Code 9.16.040 makes it unlawful for the owner, tenant or lessee of property to fail to remove snow or ice from the sidewalks next to the property any time the average snow depth exceeds 1 inch, or when snow or ice on the sidewalk is unreasonably dangerous. The code says these duties do not create duties enforceable in a civil lawsuit. (source: Provo City Code)

Orem

Orem says the abutting property owner is responsible for clearing the wheelchair ramp up to the edge of the pavement. (source: City of Orem)

We have not yet read Orem's sidewalk ordinance text, so this page does not state an Orem deadline.
