Salt Lake Valley Landfill fees
Flat rate
$17 per load for cars, SUVs, pickups with standard cargo beds up to a 1 ton pickup, and trailers that are unloaded by hand only. Trailers towed by 1 ton and larger trucks pay the per ton rate. Special items cost extra. (source: Salt Lake County)
Per ton (trucks and mechanized unload trailers, $17 minimum)
- $36 per ton for mixed trash.
- $12 per ton for clean concrete or asphalt.
- $12 per ton for clean, dry soil or sod.
Special items
- $18 each for a mattress or box spring (residential customers, or businesses with six pieces or fewer).
- $20 each for Freon containing units such as refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners.
- $4 per tire, 12 tires maximum per load.
Hours and limits
- Open Monday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed Sundays, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
- Solar panels and battery systems are not accepted.
- The household hazardous waste facility at the landfill does not take business waste.
