Pressure Washing Help: FAQ
Do I need a license to start a pressure washing business in Utah?
Not a contractor license. R156-55a-301an exempts power washing. City business licenses and other agency rules still apply.
Can pressure washing water go down the storm drain?
Salt Lake County says storm drains flow to streams and lakes with no treatment, and dumping into the gutter is the same as dumping into a creek. Ask your city about its stormwater rules.
Does lead paint matter for pressure washing?
If paid work disturbs painted surfaces on a home built before 1978, EPA's RRP rule requires certification and lead safe work practices.
