Bathroom Remodel Help: FAQ
Does my bathroom remodeler need a plumbing license?
For the plumbing work, yes. Utah rule R156-55a puts plumbing in the scope of P200 and P201 plumbing contractors. A B100 general building license does not include the work of the P200 or P201 plumbing licenses.
My house was built before 1978. Does my contractor need special training?
If the work disturbs painted surfaces and the contractor is paid, EPA's RRP rule requires the firm to be certified and to use lead safe work practices.
